It is important to know if your child’s literacy skills are at grade-level. I have decades of experience assessing students. My assessment services include testing children using a variety of nationally revered tools and meeting with parents and/or teachers to debrief the results and give recommendations. I can also write customized reports for schools and teachers.

Navigating the world of education and school systems can be tricky, confusing, frustrating, and even intimidating, at times, for parents. I can help give advice and insight from over 36 years of experience as an educator and administrator in both public and independent schools. I can also attend meetings with teachers and administrators to help everyone better support your child’s unique needs.

$65* per 50-minute online session

Hiring an experienced, sensitive, and personable remediation specialist is critical because the quicker your child can read and write at grade-level, the more successful your child will be in school…and in life. I offer 50-minute sessions to remediate reading and writing deficits. An initial assessment is required (see rates).
If your child is not being challenged at school, I can also provide fun, enrichment services to get your child excited about reading and writing…and help your child publish a book! I can also meet with you child’s teacher to provide ideas. Together, we could also create an inexpensive “writers club” for 6-8 young authors, ages 8-12, to meet via Zoom with me every other week and talk about writing techniques and ideas.
