Helping children become confident, capable, and joyful learners is my passion. I have over 36 years of professional experience as a teacher, trainer, and researcher. Studies show that supporting strong literacy development through research-based intervention is key to school success. I help parents and teachers best support children in this journey.

- Trained thousands of teachers in 8 different states in literacy instruction
- Coached hundreds of preschool-3rd grade teachers to help them improve student outcomes in literacy
- Presented at numerous state and national conferences
- Provided intervention services to students with dyslexia and other learning challenges
- Co-authored a course for the Idaho State Department of Education in Dyslexia
- Co-authored Every Child Ready to Learn and several research articles in peer-reviewed education journals
- Published A Dog Named Bronco and taught writing workshops for children at the library and in schools
